RESEARCH

The current demand for lightweight and high-performance materials led to the creation of novel materials with improved properties and reduced mass and dimension. This can be achieved by developing new processing methods and controlling processing parameters. As a consequence, the microstructure of the materials will be altered leading to the improvement of material properties. The overall goal of our research is to manufacture next-generation materials and to carry out the multiscale characterization of structure, composition, and properties for application in the structural, aerospace, defense, biomedical, and other industrial applications.
