Director’s Message
On behalf of the Faculty, Staff, and Students of the School of Civil, Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering (CEIE) it is my pleasure to welcome you to our homepage. We offer very strong programs in Civil Engineering leading to Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering, Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering, Master of Engineering (ME) degree in Civil Engineering, and Ph.D. Degree in Engineering Science with concentration in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Our BS in Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. We strive to maintain this honor by always focusing on developing the future; our students.
The Civil Engineering core courses are designed to provide breadth of knowledge about Civil Engineering and technical electives are designed to provide more in-depth understanding of Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Water Resources, and Transportation Engineering.
The school has approximately 80 students and 8 faculty members to facilitate their learning. We have a full-time academic advisor to help students plan their course of study. Our courses are taught by faculty members with assistance from graduate students. Most Civil Engineering class sizes range from 15 to 20 students, thus providing more individualized learning experience.
We are proud of our facilities and laboratories. It would be my pleasure to give you a personalized tour of our facilities at your convenience. Please call my office to schedule a tour.
