Why Make a Gift?

"Along with several of my brothers and sisters, we are the first generation in our family to have attained higher education degrees. We had parents that sacrificed and supported us in every way but it would have been much more difficult, if not impossible, without financial assistance such as scholarships, student work programs, Pell grants and government loans.

I think of the many young men and women who are in similar situations and must sometimes decide between the long term rewards of higher education and their family’s immediate needs. I don’t believe that bright minds should have to choose the latter. 

I serve on the Civil and Environmental Engineering Professional Advisory Board and give financially to the college because I feel that I can help make a difference."
