Ancient Mill Replica
Engineering interdisciplinary student team designed a replica of ancient mil used in Roman Empire almost 2000 years ago. Mechanical engineering students prepared drawings, selected materials, performed calculations allowing for safe manufacturing process, and manufactured the working prototype shown in this video. They publicly demonstrated how the ancient romans ground grains and baked a bread from the flour. The demonstration itself, and the bread prepared by using the flour from this process were shared with outside audience.
