Laurie Landgraf

Laurie is a Senior Counsel at The Boeing Company whose practice is focused on intellectual property. She is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Laurie graduated from SIU-C with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism in 1982. She then began her engineering studies while working part-time at the Southern Illinoisan, graduating again with a BSEE from SIU-C in 1985. She went to work at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis as an electrical engineer, designing equipment used to test the avionics in the F/A-18 fighter jet.

She attended Washington University in St. Louis at night from 1988 to 1990 to work on her MSEE. In 1990, she enrolled in St. Louis University Law School, attending at night while continuing to work for McDonnell Douglas during the day, and received her J.D. in January 1995.

She was offered a position in the McDonnell Douglas Law Department in 1996, as an attorney working issues and transactions with suppliers. Boeing acquired McDonnell Douglas in 1997, and Laurie currently provides legal advice to Boeing Defense, Space and Security business unit on a broad range of matters involving contracts with the federal government, with international customers and with suppliers, contract terminations, mergers and acquisitions and patent, copyright and trade secret disputes. She lives in St. Louis with her husband, Dan Korte, also an SIU-C alum.
