Shari A. Matzelle
Shari Matzelle is an accomplished global business consultant and business owner with over 25 years of experience in business and technology.She built her technology foundation as an engineer working with the B2 and F15 fighter programs at Northrop Grumman and implementing the first cellular systems across Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, mainland China and Latin America for Motorola.
She then expanded into the business side of technology in management consulting at Ernst and Young (CGEY), working across the US and Canada and as an expatriate in Stockholm, Sweden and London, driving major global technology transformations programs.
While in industry, Shari spent many years working in GPS and IoT technologies with companies like Globalstar, Iridium’s biggest competitor.She also worked across the US and Latin America with teams at Panduit, a global IT company.
Today, she runs her consulting practice, Team19 Inc., working with start-ups to large corporations in strategy development and implementation, process and operations improvement, marketing and business growth in technology areas like IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
Matzelle holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She resides in Chicago and sits on the Board for the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Knapp Entrepreneurial Center and chairs the Programming Committee.She is passionate about encouraging women to consider and embark on engineering careers.
She enjoys cycling, swimming and downhill skiing. She is conversationally fluent in Spanish.
